Day 5 - Cosplay
there’s a cosplay of Pharah going around of a cosplayer in brownface. Figured I’d warn ya’ll. Please don’t flame the cosplayer but try and be aware and try not to spread it around as a “good” cosplay. In the cosplay is a link to the cosplayer’s twitter where you can see her real skintone in her header and other pics. Thanks y’all <3
So we know the basic premise to Ashe’s story: rich girl is a troublemaker, gets picked up by our favorite cowboy and together (and with two mysterious others) they formed Deadlock. Eventually McCree gets taken in and joins Blackwatch, Ashe stays as the sole leader of Deadlock. Seems incredibly basic…
So let’s look deeper and try to find something interesting.
So we know from Ashe’s origin story and backstory on the official website that her family is rich, they live in a fancy house, she has an omnic butler, etc. We can even see a picture of her parents.
But strangely…

No Ashe in the family portrait, nor photos of her near the portrait. The dog made it into the family picture hut not her… That’s cold.
Let’s think here: What do her parents do? Why are they rich? Given the time and Ashe’s age, I’d guess they had something to do with the omnic crisis, many of the most wealthy and influential people were either in Overwatch at some point or were war heroes in the crisis (the president of Mexico, Katya Volskaya, Gabrielle Adawe (Founder of Numbani)).
Her parents are nowhere present throughout the video, at dinner, when she was arrested… It’s possible they were so busy they couldn’t visit… Or… They had no real desire to be part of her life. It says her parents provided her with all she needed to succeed… Yet we’re nowhere to be seen. Maybe they had a child just to continue the family lineage, no intention of raising her.
With no parents, she turned to her best friend, her caretaker, B.O.B. His prime directive probably being “Protect Ashe”. So anything she did, he accompanied her to insure her safety. With no one to provide knowledge on morality or providing emotional support, she turned to aggressiveness, fighting, destruction.
Enter… Jesse McCree. He meets her somehow, my guess is he attempts to rob her, and she instead offers him a bigger score, her family estate or another big target. They get along thick as thieves, despite living opposite lives. Once they are done, they continue to do stick ups together, a beautiful friendship forming.
Eventually she gets caught and arrested, her family bails her out… But when she walks out… No one greets her. No mom. No dad. Just B.O.B. Her family wasn’t there for her once she reached rock bottom, so she will find a new family. She takes her family’s repeater, the viper, and B.O.B. and runs away. She meets up with McCree and two others and they form a new family, the Deadlock Rebels.
Lara is exploring an ancient ruin, she notices a few symbols that were familiar to her. Taking out her notebook, she skims the pages until she finds her translations.
“In order to open the gates, one must be pure of heart and-” she starts muttering to herself the rest of the words, a puzzle. As she tried to piece it together, a load boom is heard.
It’s at that point Lara scans the room and spots the cause of the noise, Diana of Themiscyra. Her fists making contact with the great bronze gates, punching through them, creating a man sized hole. As the last punch slams through, echoing through the chamber, she turns around with a playful smile on her face.
“Shall we continue?”
Lara pouts, “I could have solved it.”
“I have no doubts of that, my dear Lady Croft. I just thought you would appreciate a show. Did you?”
Lara blushed, walking ahead, stuttering how they should move on ahead. Diana’s laugh could be heard all throughout the halls.

“Smiting foes with holy radiance fills you with righteous joy.”
Sounds perfect for @wearepaladin , join the Boros Legion today!
I’m willing to write prompts for this pairing! If you have ideas, send them in :)
I’m willing to try many things, so don’t be afraid to ask.
In our great city, perhaps no fouler toxin can be found than the ignorant and persistent elevation of the value of free will. Indeed, the myriad guilds seem to thrive on the concept (with, perhaps, the exception of Azor’s progeny), and in so doing contribute to this mounting threat to stability and order in Ravnica.
It is hardly a secret that we of the Orzhov Syndicate have long been accused of greed and miserliness by the myriad denizens of our humble city. Indeed, in recent years, the disdain and distrust facing our cause has only grown in the hearts and minds of the populace.
Our Noble and Hallowed Patriarchs, for their part, have largely elected to ignore these issues, and our myriad pontiffs and prelates have followed suit. As a result, our holy Guild has become self-isolating, with fewer and fewer converts each year. If we are to flourish, as is our rightful state, I believe we must change our approach.
For this reason, I have constructed a series of missives for the perusal of all Ravnicans, to illuminate and demythologize the positions and philosophies of the Church of Deals.
For this first treatise, we will focus on that most contentious of topics: Orzhova and its love of Wealth.
